Welcome from the CEO

Tammy TateAnticipating the arrival of a baby is typically a time of great joy and excitement, but joy quickly turns to heartache when parents receive the unexpected news that their unborn baby has a serious medical condition that may result in death or a serious life-long disability. Despite the diagnosis, many parents choose to continue their pregnancy but in doing so find themselves with limited support, resources and guidance. For these parents, there are no easy answers and navigating the many decisions unique to their circumstances can become overwhelming.

Carolina Perinatal Support Network was created as a compassionate but practical response for parents in this difficult situation. Our program of supportive care and practical guidance focus on the needs of the expectant parents as well as the baby, all in an effort to give parents the freedom to make meaningful decisions that honor and validate their baby's life. Our goal is to journey with these families and to calm their confusion and feelings of hopelessness. We are here to show them; there is help, there is hope, there is a way.
